In this article we will talk about how to transform your life by taking big action in your life. The only way you’re going to get results in your life to achieve your goals is through taking massive action. One of the biggest obstacles I see a lot of people face that prevents them from success is they spend all their time learning. They think that learning and knowledge is power. True power is when you take action. When you actually apply what you’ve learnt.
Learning is great, learning has changed my life, I encourage you to do it. But you got to balance that with action. Taking action is far more powerful, you’re going to learn so much more by taking massive action in your life, business or goals, than you ever will from a book. You don’t want to just be a keyboard jockey, a seminar junkie. One of those people that knows all the theory. They know everything about whatever but they don’t know how to actually do it, and they’ve never done it.
You want to be the person that has the experience, that has the results. Often times people think they need to know everything first before they do it. You’re going to learn so much more by doing it than you ever will of just sitting there and trying to accumulate all the theory. By doing it that’s how you learn. You learn by going through the process. By going through the failures, by going through the trials and tribulations, the adversity.
That’s how you gain the street sense. The street knowledge which is far more powerful and better than just what you read in a book. You got to be taking action guys, learn, watch videos, read books, whatever. Go to seminars etc, but then take massive action. 90% of your time should be taking massive action. Five to ten percent should be learning, and reading books and stuff, but again massive action. That’s where the results happen.
I’ll give you an example. If you want to get fit, you want to have a great body, you’re going to learn so much more by getting in the gym. People think, “I’m just going to read books and watch videos on YouTube about health and fitness”. It’s not like you’re going to suddenly get fit by doing that. It’s not like you’re going to grow muscles, and you’re going to lose fat just by sitting on the couch reading books and watching videos. You got to get yourself in the gym, you got to apply what you’re learning, Even if you don’t even know all the theory, you just put yourself in the gym.
You go for a run, you push your body in some way. This is ten times more valuable than just sitting there reading books about it. Same thing, you want to learn how to play basketball, are you going to learn just by watching videos and stuff. You learn by actually getting on the court and shooting the ball? You’re going to learn so much more by doing that. You’re going to get better than you ever will by sitting there watching videos on how to play basketball.
Take the dating game as another example. A lot of people know everything about how to approach someone, and get a date. These are shy introverted guys hiding behind a computer. They’ve never done it. You’re going to learn so much more just by going on the street, going to the club and approaching someone. Interacting, talking, pushing your comfort zone, facing rejection and your fear. You’re going to learn ten times more than you ever will by reading a message board, or by watching videos, or reading books.
Your life only changes by taking action. You got to spend your time taking action. You have to be very careful about learning because learning can be a trap. It’s easy to get caught up and just spending all your time learning and not taking any action. One of the biggest problems that you see amongst a lot of people is they get analysis paralysis. They learn too much that they become paralyzed, and they can’t take any action.
They’re just learning so much that they have information overload. I don’t know if you’ve ever experienced that before, you just learn so much that just don’t even know where to start. Again, you want to learn in small doses but take action on what you’re learning. Integrate it into your life, become a master, don’t just be the bookworm, be the master!
Be the person that’s not just the spectator, the person that’s actually in the arena. That’s a person that gets results, not the person that can’t. This may sound repetitive but it’s just so important you understand this. I’m not saying not to do them, but balance it. I know for myself I read books for inspiration, to change my thoughts my beliefs, but I’m spending 99% of my day in action, and 1% learning information.
I go to seminars, I’m taking massive action from that seminar, what I’ve learned before I ever consider going to another seminar, maybe a few months after that. I’m not just going to seminar after seminar, book after book, video after video, not applying anything.
Again guys I’m actually hesitant to learn at times, and I remember different stages of my life I was like,”Man, you know what? I’ve learnt so much, I’ve read hundreds of books, and been through all this stuff but I’m not getting results that I’m after.” I said, “you know what? It’s time to put learning on hold.
I’m going to stop learning, I’ve learned enough. I can trust that I’ve learned enough at this point, now it’s time to get into action. I’m going to spend all my time massive action, and then when I want to learn again I’ll come back to that.” The biggest problem I see amongst people is not knowledge. Some people already know what to do, you already know what to do to get in great shape, to build a business, to take action and achieve your goals.
It’s not more knowledge that’s going to help you, it’s taking action on what you’ve learned. You see people who training programs and courses, and they’re not getting the results that they want. They go in there and try to keep learning. The problem is not the knowledge. They have the knowledge that they need to succeed. The key is to work harder, take more action on your business to get more results.
Take action guys, that’s where all the results happen. That’s where your dreams become a reality. Action. All right? If somebody can actually count how many times I said ‘take action’ in this article, I might give you guys a little prize but I want to re-emphasize that again and again, take action, take action, take action! That should be your Mantra in your head all day, all throughout the day, all throughout the week, all throughout the month. You do that, you take massive, massive action, and see what’s going to happen in your life. Your life is going to change.
